Kinetic Typography Story

One night while I was checking in on my daughter while she was supposed to be going to sleep, I overheard her telling a story to her dolls. I ran to get my phone, returned and then asked her if I could record her telling it again.

Of course she was more than happy to stall her bedtime for a few minutes more. My heart was melting as she eagerly tried to recount her tale. It was so whimsical and sincere that I had to do something visually to support it.

I used Adobe Audition to normalize the audio and then created the kinetic typography in After Effects.

Good morning, Allen! I was wondering if you had posted a new blog. I see that you have not. So sad. You are too creative not to post something. I didn’t remember reading this one from July so I grabbed my coffee cup and settled into the swivel chair to read.

Awesome! Loved hearing her little voice and imagination working with your illustrations.
